MINNIE MILLER (nee Schindle) Peacefully on April 15, 2006 at the Ashern Personal Care Home, with her family by her side, Minnie Miller, aged 82 years of Ashern, MB passed away. Minnie was born and raised in the Camper area. She attended the Edison School and in her early years worked in Winnipeg. She married Harold Miller and together they raised three daughters. Minnie worked in the Ashern Hospital and then returned to Winnipeg where she became a stay-at-home mother. She enjoyed gardening and making handcrafted items. She is survived by her husband Harold Miller, daughters Carol McKay, and Donna Ackert, two grandsons, Stephen and Jonathan, and a great-granddaughter Emily McKay. Minnie was predeceased by her daughter Debbie, and her siblings, Emil, Ben, and John Schindle, and a sister Emma Lutz. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at the Ashern Legion Hall, with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow at the Lakeside Cemetery. A special thanks go out to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Ashern Personal Care home, who cared for Minnie during her last years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, to be used in the Palliative Care Unit , c/o Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0.
